'NEW FRUIT GARDEN CLASSICS'
-Your guide to essential new fruit cultivars –
Gooseberry Martlet
A magnificent new mildew resistant Gooseberry that bears luscious deep red fruits that are suitable for eating fresh but also make very good jams and pies and can also be frozen.
Plant the bushes 5’ apart, suitable for bush, cordon and standard growing techniques.
The fruits ripen in mid June and are displayed beneath the branches in prominent clusters for easy harvesting. Moderately spined.
Plant in any reasonably drained soil. P.H. not important but sun is required for the fruits to colour well.
An essential addition the Gooseberry range as no spraying is required to maintain the lovely clean mildew free growth and fruits. Heavy cropping, fruit quality outstanding.
