Jonagold is actually probably my favo...Thanks Adam.<br />Jonagold is actually probably my favourite Apple as it has just the 'right' texture for me - fairly crisp but not too dense or chewy and with plenty of juice and a good balance of sweetness and acidity.<br />We grow Jonathan here too, although it is used almost exclusively for dessert. <br />I appreciate your interest and interaction!<br />Chris. Here in the States we think that Jonagold is actually a <a href="http://www.seattletreefruitsociety.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/2011-jonagold-revised.pdf" rel="nofollow">Golden Delicious x Jonathan cross.</a><br /><br />American breeders don't seem to have considered Cox as a potential parent until relatively recently (more's the pity!).
